WOW THIS WEEK HAS BEEN BUSY!
I have learned things I never could have learned.
Monday- For us was an normal work day mainly due to our Temple day. We were able to contact a member who has not been as active in coming to church and found out he is moving june 21st. we sat down after a while and what I thought would be a short message turned into a long opportunity to help him through some struggles he is going through. Hope to bring a change for him.
Tuesday- P-Day (Pre-paration) Temple day and did not really do a ton other then shopping for the week. We also found that there was another nail in our tire this time the back right it was a blessing that came because we hit a a small curb in a parking lot. checking to see if the wheel was okay. The nail was in the wheel but so much so it held in the air....not sure how long its been there but at least a week! The tire never when flat! we got it fixed that evening.
Wednesday- Had our ZONE MEETING we meet together as a large group of missionaries. Its a meeting or time we can discuss our week together. We were trying to find a way to become more unified and develop stronger bonds (friendships) and came up with the activity we had Today (Monday); THE HUNGER GAMES. Pretty much a giant Nerf gun/ melee weapons battle in the gym :). We had the opportunity to teach ERIC a young guy seeking to learn about what we believe. Normally we spend some time with him, but today we had to cut our time shorter. I walked out of that lesson feeling much more fulfilled we were focused on a shorter time frame. Shorter is better you go in accomplish your purpose and "leave". Leaving things to talk about and discuss the next time :)
Thursday- ZONE CONFERENCE which is a meeting (also known as TRAINING'S because we get trained on how to be better missionaries). Our mission president taught us about teaching with POWER:
1) Not speaking for ourselves (not teaching the everything we know but what the other needs to know or understand at that time)
2) "cut the fluff" (get to the point)
3) "strike while the iron is hot" (take advantage of the opportunity to teach in the moment)
Friday- went and had exchanges going to another area with missionaries and having opportunities to teach people they are working with! I love seeing how other missionaries work.
Saturday- The whole day today was full of service right as we finished on e thing someone would call us and ask for our help! It was cool to have the opportunity to serve and give to others!
Sunday - CHURCH AND almost had got 2 kids we are teaching to church but last minute were not able to come hopefully we can get Wendy and Louise next week.
TODAY(MONDAY)- nerf war and fun!
The experience this week were full of service to other and helping others come closer to Christ. We had to pass the person Marj from Persia off because she was not in our area. and were not able to meet with Jimmy this week! We hope that we can help them come to church this week and meet with them. Sister Baldwin almost went the whole week without drinking coffee but had 2 days where she drank decaff. Its a new week this week and no more school for the summer for her so hopes for the coming week.
LOVE YOU ALL
