I have had a thought this week to try something different. In this Email I would like to share a message through both the experiences I have had and insights from my studies this week.

I had so many awesome experiences! Watch the video above and then read the email. :)
INVESTIGATORS:
Ray(9) and Leilani (10) - These are 2 kids that are really great! Their mom and grandpa do not desire to learn, but the mom has allowed us to teach them. I met them the first time Friday. Ray was struggling to do his math homework so I had the chance to help him for a minute with it before we started. Little did I know that it really helped him when he said thank you to it in the closing prayer he said! We taught about the Tree of Life and the Love of God. I could feel the love and the Spirit in the room the whole time!
CONTACTS PROMTED BY SPIRIT:
CATHY- earlier in the week we met Cathy a referral received by a guy we talked to down the street working in his garden. We had this feeling in the late afternoon that there was someone we need to go to around 4:00, but we did not know who. We headed the direction of a members home and contacted two people on our way there until we met Phil. He was working in his garden. He knew all about us - has been to Salt Lake, etc. We asked if there was anyone he knew who needed help in the area and he said a guy named Seasal (how ever it is spelled) was in the last time of his life. He thought he could use a message. We went to the door and his daughter Cathy answered and said he had passed away a week earlier. We spent the next 20 min. teaching about The plan of salvation and our life after this one. She was very appreciative of this. After the prayer before we left she made a very amazing comment. "you know when my mother passed away Mormons came knocking at my door too"! (She has had her Husband, Father and Mother pass away in last 3-4 years).
Alyssa- We had the opportunity to visit this house twice. The first time was late at night and felt there was somewhere we needed to knock. Through the events of biking, we found her. Pretty much you have a a square with a dot in the middle and entrance to the dot at the bottom. We biked from the entrance around clockwise and back. Right as we got to the entrance, a car turned in front of us. It just so happened this car had the people we were to contact in it. Oh and they new Chinese. The next time was two days later. We felt to knock it again this time a man who spoke little Chinese answered (maybe the dad). Two sentences came to mind I said them. In the end, his brother around same age came said no we are okay. Both of these times one in their garage the other at the door. We just gave them a card and left it at that. I do not know what the purpose is but definitely a reason and a seed planted to learning about the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
LESSON:
The Lord has a purpose to everything that happens in our lives. Many times the lord gives us these experiences and great trials in our lives for us to learn from. In the video above it talked about a currant bush that was cut down and then grew into a beautiful bush. The Lord, at times, may have to cut us down a little or completely but you know that every time you are cut down (have a trial) it is so you will blossom into a strong bush! There are times where things may not be trials, but events. These are like rain that feed the bush. Gifts given to us as a reminder that he is there for us as well as spiritual and physical strength for those difficult times for the future. Heavenly Father knows our Gifts (strength's). For me it was the opportunity to use the little Chinese I know to connect with someone. For others it can be music, sports, art, ability to comfort the list goes on.
Challenge:
In Matthew 16:25 "For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it."
This week as Moroni says in the Book of Mormon "I would exhort you to..." This week pray to know what your gifts are. To recognize what you can do for those around you.
Email me your expieriences.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR LOVE AND THE LETTERS/Emails.
Love you all !
