We had good week this week! Today was our P-day because we got to go to the Temple!
We had a great day on Sunday! We had planned the night before as usual. Our night had multiple sets (or appointments). We had hopes to teach Jimmy (someone who we have not been able to meet for 2 weeks because he has been sick). Well Jimmy ended up falling through. We went to his house and found him not there. We had someone else we needed to visit close by in Los Cab, a large apartment/sports complex, But he was not home either. Walking in to the complex it sounded like there was a group over by the bbq area. Its like the hang out place in the complex, a place we enjoy going to talk with new people at. We were planning to leave but I felt why not go and see what's happening. It turned out to be 2 women we have talked to before and a new guy. Both have had contact with missionaries. The conversation led to us answering a few questions when along the way some other people we knew showed up, Wan and Brittney. Our focuse slowly turned to talking to them and ultimately into sharing what we believed and answering some questions Brittany had. It ended long after we had planned to be there but ultimately left them and us feeling great.
We had a lot of plans, but God had a better one for us!
We had a really fun day on Friday. We had just started the day, got into the car, and then heard a crunching as we backed up. WE HAD A FLAT TIRE! Somehow during the day we got a nail in the tread and over night the wheel went flat. IT was all good till the Scissor jack that comes with the car bent causing it to stop working. Needing to replace the tire, Elder Shaffer remembered a tire place down the street from our apartment. So we went and got a nicer jack to get the car up. All turned out well in the end but we had to get an actual tire since we had to use the spare to get to pep boys.
We had a miracle that night! Ceci Baldwin committed to follow the word of wisdom! (at least for a week). This was a big step because this is the last week of school and was worried about giving up coffee. We had planned to share a different message but once we got there she began to talk about the Word of Wisdom and coffee. As of today she is still going strong and says she has not had withdrawal effects, which she was afraid may happen. We have another lesson with her on Friday! We will see how it all turned out.
We had a great lesson with the Luna's, with an opportunity to teach Bro Luna's son how to pray and he said they will work on it each night too!
I know that gratitude is powerful and will change you. Look forward and thank heavenly father for everything! It has made a difference in my perspective!

This talk helped a lot as well!
Love you ALL!
