Every Event that happened this week especially the ones listed below were from the help of heavenly father!
Well we had a miracle happen last Monday night!. We were called to go give a blessing to a member who has not been to church in a while because she has been going through cancer and just started Chemotherapy. We did not get our car back till Tuesday The area she lived at required us to have a car. We called up multiple Members in the area, but many were not answering or a few were unable to make it. I was trying to use the knowledge I had of the ward going with those that look after widows in the ward and the name Brother Mc Gee came to mind. He was available to come out. He was the perfect member to have come out with us. We had not really met Sister mahuana'alii and he just happened to be a good family friend of her and her Two daughters in their 20's ,who were there! We found that they had hoped that we would have someone they knew come over and God Helped us out with this opportunity. Heavenly Father Blessed them as we did what we could and acted on what we knew to bless others around us!
We had a really cool experience last week. We had gotten home a little late making our planning time shorter and trying to make plans was really hard to find where to go. And I found I had forgotten my jacket at the Less actives house we had just taught that night (lives in there area we call "area 12"). Just before we headed out for the morning ,I took a couple of minutes, well Elder Shaffer finished getting ready, to finish up some adding names to our plans out of the area book. A name I had looked at last night stuck out (at this point I had not recognized it had ). We go through 10 o'clock hour with few people home. at 11 we head to area 12. The first name was not home so we went to the second (the one that I had just put down). As we pull up I see a young man standing outside his car on the phone. We parked and headed to the opposing side right across the street from where this young guy was standing on his phone. Just before we get to the door, he calls out to us "hey Elders" . I wonder who he is . Come to find out he was standing out the home of the Travis's a member in our ward. Who are his grandparents. God sent us here for a reason. As we walked away from this event we ended up having a good conversation with him about his mission he served how he was down here about to surprise his girlfriend, whom they are getting married in August, proposing to her and just before we got there he had turned on the car, closed the car door and it locked on him! ("AAA" came and unlocked it but we got to talk to him and review his proposal plan with him) Before we said the prayer we shook his hand. I thought we were going to shake again as we were going to leave after the prayer but, surprised, he went and gave us a hug and wished us good luck.
Also, the member who's house I left my sweater at was in the area as well so after the this event we were able to go and share a message with her and she just so happened to be home. Normally she is working during the day :)
Then on Sunday a lady came to church 2nd hour. Who is from Iran originally, is of the Muslim religion and converted to Christianity . She has had dreams involving Jesus Christ and a desire to come to our church because the one she didn't like the previous church she was going to. She was introduced to our church because she picks her son up in the parking lot from high school soccer practice which just so happens to be AT fountain Valley high school right next door to it :) There is a lot of learning she will need to understand but the desire is there. She left us saying"I have a vile of Holy OIL I'll bring it to church next week and give it to your Pastier or you guys even". This could be interesting... It will be a lot of fun to teach Marja.
I have really seen miracles happen! I had a desire to be more grateful this week and a desire to show it. And heavenly father really showed me things to be grateful for! This or what thought was going to learn turned out to be so much more. To be grateful is an action!

This talk got me started in on it! I would definitely recommend it.
With this attitude of gratitude you can do anything! And be happy in any circumstance and see the blessing of even the most difficult of experiences.
Really quick just another experience we had on Wednesday. We just got out of our district meeting (which is we meet with other missionaries like me and receive training's from another, pretty much have a discussion on how we can be better teachers.) we were just about to leave when another set of elders locked their keys in the trunk. We were the only one's there so we had to take them to the mission office to get the spare key to the car, which the mission keeps for this purpose. It was a bummer at first that turned into an amazing blessing! on our way we decided we would go to "IN n OUT' , a really good burger place, for lunch. Just as we pull in to park Elder Gibson see's a family he knew from a past area he served in. Not only did he see them but they ended up paying for our lunch at in and out! Then just before we all get back into the car. Elder Albreckt who was backing me up . Saw 2 girls in the late 20's parked in a car next to us with their windows down and started to talk to them. He shared who he was (we were) and they said they would like to learn more and said Elder Albracht and Elder Gibson (his companion) could come by and share more with them! All this from locking their keys in their car!.
LOVE YOU ALL!
LOVE Elder Van Kammen
Oh and one of the wards in the area put on a Tri-atholon and we got to help out with it. The pictures are:
We rode the jeep around to pick up a bunch of the cones they had out. The picture depicts it a little different because all the kids, from the Harper Park ward, jump on it for the picture :) This event was a lot of fun as well because I got to see a lot of member from Harper park a ward I served in last year, my second area.
Then a picture with us missionaries and our medals we got for helping out. In reality it is really the same ones they gave the triathlon runners... we got lucky :P and then another of the little kid triatholon run they did as well.
