Well I saw David Archuleta Today :) That was a reality check. It's funny when you actually see someone they become more real to you. Its like seeing the prophet or apostles. You watch them at general conference, but the reality is when you see them and hear them.
We got to go to the Temple this morning :)! I love going because it brings a peace you cannot have anywhere else. It is a place Heavenly Father can be. You can ponder peacefully. It's a place separate from the craziness of the world!
I have really learned this week you do not have to be alone in this life as we center our lives in the teachings Jesus Christ have given us! The challenges of life don't have to be done alone! Our heavenly Father has given us his spirit to help us out along the way when we are in times of difficulty! I exhort all of you to read the Book of Mormon and pray about it. If you really want to know the truths of life and answers to any question you want, ask God!. It really hit me this week, He is a literal being; someone who can only be recognized as we devote our self and service to His. This is done through understanding His purpose... what he really wants for us. That is for us to be happy. What makes us happy? Accomplishing our desires. When we are obedient to His commandments, we show our love to Him. As we SHOW our love, we seek to help others. Because we help others they become happy and thus we help fulfill Heavenly Fathers purpose, to help us be happy! "CRAZY RIGHT...I KNOW" ~Sister (Cambrea) Van Kammen.

We can pray and ask Heavenly Father. He is our best friend! He wants to answer any of your questions, but he can't answer them until he knows what you need or are looking for :)
We had a pretty eventful week teaching!
Betsy- She lives in a retirement / assisted living home.We taught her multiple times this week and have seen a huge change in the last 3 weeks I have been here. She has gone from fear of prayer and reading. As well as doing better to get along with those she lives with there. She wants to come to church now and she talks with God as though he is there with us! She believes it is true! And want s to give up smoking! I love teaching her because she shares with God things we in her prayers, says at the end of our lessons, she never shared with us! That makes me know she believes!
Mik - Our Chinese Investigator has been struggling a little bit this week. He knows the gospel is true, but as many times I have seen people who want to learn that are from Asia (mainly Korea/Chinese). They want to learn English with us but he now has come to believe the things we share with him and wants to learn more before he continues to come to church. This is hard because church is a place to learn and grow not where you have to have a lot of knowledge to come.
Elizabeth - An older late in her 60's really great lady! We have met with her twice since we first found her. a week and half ago. She is very religious. She loves the bible and it was her source reading and comfort while she was in prison. It is easier to teach and need to help her understand the simpleness of the gospel. And not as complicated as she things. I really hope she reads the Book of Mormon this week!
Then I was on an Exchange And we got through all the plans we had to. We decided to say a prayer and ask heavenly father to point us in the direction he would have us go. We biked around a minute more and then saw a an older African american lady with her dog and grand child. As we got closer we saw shew as knitting. We asked her about it and her dog and brought up the gospel. She mentioned how she was from Las Vegas, in town with her daughter, and has seen our church building down the street from her as well as the Elders on their bikes. We shared with her our purpose and that she could continue to learn more from the Elder's in her area! We were about to leave before we did we told her she could Call out to the Elders and ask them for help on anything anytime. Which she was so surprised it led to us answering more questions and giving her a Book of Mormon. She wanted to read and learn for herself the truth!
I know that you can find the truth by asking Heavenly Father. And if you really want to know He will tell you BUT you must be willing to take the answers and direction he gives you.
LOVE YOU ALL!
