This week has been a great EXPERIENCE! We have seen so much success! There are many people we talked to and found myself in new situations and environments I have not been in in a long time! Being in new peoples homes. Talking with people who have such different beliefs. This week we contacted 3 people who had different beliefs and everything we do is about helping people we teach come closer to Jesus Christ!
1) Patty. We were going to a planned appointment and it ended up canceling, but on the way out we said a prayer to know where to go next and we had a thought to go to the house of someone else we taught a few months ago. Once there there was a group of kids, teenagers, and an women in her 40's outside. We said hi and she said oh are you here to see my mom. This was Elizabeth's daughter who called out to us. We have only seen her, but never really talked to her. After talking to her and the kids. we were able to give each of them a small pamphlet to read. During this time there was a family situation between the mom, Elizabeth, and her daughter. This lead us to leaving the house after they left and walked down the street and met patty walking her dog well on her scooter. I felt we should talk to her and then we ended up setting a time to come back the next day to her house and had a good visit. Though we may not be meeting again her husband didn't seem too open after asking if we could come again.
2) Then we had an appointment with a member of the ward and on the way there someone was sitting in the garage. I felt we should talk to her. Her boyfriend or husband, Chris was not too interested, But was very nice about it. Then she, Bridget, was interested. She had been contacted by missionaries in another area and then we talked to her! We have an appointment tonight with her !
I have really loved this week. I see as I study if I am willing to listen and ask specifically for what those we are teaching need and then no matter what If I do what I can to learn more about that topic I find answers to that question!
I KNOW THIS WORK IS FOR THE BEST AND BY LOVING OTHER PEOPLE WE CAN BE HAPPY! LOVING OTHERS CHANGES EVERYTHING.
