This week has been such great success we were able to Skype for the first time in this mission yay! So on Christmas eve we had a chance to go caroling with our whole district, each of us getting a chance to pick 2-3. It is amazing what just a simple act such as caroling to people's home has such a great impact! Earlier in the day we were contacting and we met an 86 year old guy just getting out of truck who kind of told us a little gist of his life story, but he said no when we asked if there was a time we could come back and if there was anything we could help him with. So, instead we came back that night and caroled to him since he was going to be home alone for Christmas :) The mission president President Tew even came! On Christmas we woke up, did a little run, but then we opened our presents from home! :)
Then we had breakfast at 10 am at a members home with all their kids . All the food was fresh/made from scratch :D!!!!! sooooo goood. For dinner we could line up as many dinners we wanted so we did one and then taught little lessons to others the rest of the night. Breakfast and dinner on Christmas were some of the best meals I have had on my mission so far!
I cannot tell you the power of service and really learning to love all those you see no matter who they are! Whether you believe, there is a God or not, "Charity never faileth"! you will feel so much joy and happiness!
Oh yea, our newer progressing and my first progressing investigator came to church again with his son. All I have to say is that I am still shocked. At the end of sacrament meeting he turned to Elder Counts and said pretty much I want to become a member how can I be baptized.!!! In the last 2 weeks Brother C has said the answers to all the major questions before we even get a chance to ask. He said the reason was because of the each of the talks that were given! He made an awesome point that each talk by members in the ward were made separately, but what one said the other in their talk verified! The power of talks are so Amazing! I have learned a great lesson that we nothing can truly work with out heavenly father being part of the picture!
Remember: Always do your part to make someone's life better whether through service or just saying hi.
