I was thinking to continue with emails by topic. This weeks is PLANNING: Preparing and Counseling with the lord in Prayer.

Throughout this entire week I have seen such great things and been shown how this message we share as missionaries is one that will change the life of all those who learn it!
INVESTIGATORS
RAY/ LEILANI (KIDS 9 and 10) - this week we were only able to teach Ray. We read 2 Nephi 32 with him. In verse 4 it says" Wherefore, now after I have spoken these words, if ye cannot understand them it will be because ye ask not, neither do ye knock; wherefore, ye are not brought into the light, but must perish in the dark."
We taught him that we need to ask our Father in Heaven (God) to know if things are true. As we do this we will "understand all things".
CONTACTS ON STREET
Guy- a previously homeless man who now has been sober for 25 years. We were able to share and give him a copy of The Book of Mormon. He said "there were many opportunities I could have partied for a night, but then what good would it have for me?!".
Kim- 40's We talked to her about the Plan of Salvation (aka Plan of Happiness: what happens after this life and why we are here.) . We found out that her husband had passed away recently, but since praying to Heavenly Father for peace she is at peace now.
ELDER BALLARD
We had a special opportunity as a mission to meet one of the Lords servants Elder M. Russel Ballard of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. He is a man who is bold, loving and tells you what needs to happen all in one person. We learned to prepare ourselves to work diligently to understand the gospel, Preach My Gospel (our teaching "manual" study guide) and Pray to know and understand the words in the the Bible, Book of Mormon ETC.
Lesson
Over all this week I have learned 2 things 1) Have a plan/ purpose to what you do even when you are going to study. 2) Pray to Heavenly Father and tell him your plan. As we do this we can become powerful and effective teachers, workers, and learners. Whether in High School, college, or on a mission. We are not perfect that is why Jesus Christ suffered for every sin, pain, sickness and more so that he would know what it is like. Ask heavenly father for forgiveness then the strength to follow through with your plans. Even if you must do this again and again, each time you are progressing. This shows Heavenly Father you are willing to diligently seek to become better. As you do this I can Promise you that Heavenly Father will prepare the way that you can accomplish your goal. All you have to do is ask for it!
I love you all! Pray always. Ask for the Lords help. Rely on him and his Atonement.
